Chassagne-Montrachet is a village in Burgundy that generally produces full-bodied chardonnay, and this is no exception. Fresh cream, yellow peach, vanilla-poached pear, and a savoury nuttiness. Slightly toasty and smoky. This is a very complex wine! It's drinking well now, but will happily age another 5-10 years if you can resist drinking it straight away.
