An Dúlamán Irish Maritime Gin is the first gin distilled in Co. Donegal. An Dúlamán bottles are reminiscent of those found along the Donegal coast during the wrecks of the Spanish Armada. Each bottle is wax sealed and the batch number is linked to the lunar phases.

To make An Dúlamán we capture “Draíocht na Farraige” (the magic of the sea) by using five locally harvested varieties of seaweed, as well as six other botanicals. This makes An Dúlamán as unique as the Donegal coast itself.

To ensure that An Dúlamán maintains its characteristic complexity and softness we have learned that Méabh (our still) likes a low ABV in the pot, and to run in a narrow temperature band to manage the delicate seaweeds. To top it off we take a devilishly narrow cut.

In late 2019 we launched a very special expression of An Dúlamán - An Dúlamán Santa Ana Armada Strength Gin, Ireland's first Navy Strength Gin. Bottled at 57% and barrel-aged in Rioja casks, this unique gin will be a limited release.

This is gin that genuinely tastes like the Irish coast - wild, uncompromising, and unique. The seaweed isn't subtle here - five different varieties create this genuinely oceanic nose that's briny, mineral, and somehow green all at once. The botanicals are carefully chosen not to fight the seaweed but to complement it - there's a gentle juniper backbone that lets the maritime character shine. On the palate, it's surprisingly soft despite all that coastal intensity, with a texture that's almost silky from those careful distillation techniques. The finish has this lingering saltiness that makes your mouth water, like the aftertaste of good oysters!
