The first whiskey in the world to be made using Australian cereal grains, this year’s Native Grain release is truly exceptional, representing a single cask expression of our award winning whiskey – limited to just 300 bottles.
A unique and engaging expression, made from a base of local malted and unmalted barley, along with native Weeping Grass, creating a whiskey unlike any other in terms of taste and character.
NOSE
Intense cereal characteristics & apricot kernel from the Weeping Grass mingle with caramel, toffee & toasted malt from the traditional grain.
TASTE
Rich and creamy with beautifully balanced french oak influence. Fresh red berry character. Apricot kernel, stone fruit and spice give way to earthy almost ginger character.
FINISH
Beautiful long finish, including notes of dried apricots and kitchen spice.

What we say
Weeping Grass is key in the story here - cultivated by Aboriginal Australians for tens of thousands of years, it creates flavours that literally don't exist in any other whiskies worldwide. You could probably consider it Australia's answer to rye. Won World's Best Grain Whisky for a reason, delivering genuinely unique flavours that connect you to 60,000 years of Australian grain cultivation.
